How It Works

Confidence & Fatalities
Each event carries a confidence score. ≥80% means corroborated or from a high-reliability source. Fatality totals are seeded from Al Jazeera’s national tracker and supplemented by pipeline incident events. All figures are reported, not independently verified.
Documented Incidents
An optional map layer (off by default) of incidents recorded by named bodies — Airwars, CPJ, WHO, the UN and others — since 7 October 2023: attacks affecting health care, journalists and aid workers killed, and mass-casualty incidents in Israel, Palestine, Lebanon and the Golan Heights. Each record links to its sources, and dashed rings mark approximate locations. Where a named body calls an incident a violation of the laws of war, the popup quotes that body; this site makes no such finding. Counts are incidents, not people, and cover only what these bodies have documented.
